The WWPWFM made a fantastic showing at the Melbourne based AsiaPacific regional meeting in October this year. We should particularly thank Amanda Barnard (our Chair Elect) for her personal and departmental contribution to financing and organising the Melbourne premeeting and accommodation: also Jan Coles and Jo Wainer, for helping to facilitate the preconference and writeup.

WWPWFM has worked on through the European version of summer to represent you on the bylaws committee (Ilse Helleman) which has built the vast majority of our proposals into its submssion to Executive in Melbourne in October.

In February 2008, three WWW (Amanda Howe, Atai Omoruto and Cheryl Levitt) met with the Wonca Executive to discuss the WWPWFM proposed gender equity amendments to the Wonca Bylaws and Regulations. We also presented a workshop at the Wonca Regional meeting in Abu Dhabi.

Twenty-five leading women family physicians met in Hamilton in August 2006 to discuss and further the aims and objectives of the WWPWFM.
