Istanbul Summer 2008
WWPWFM has worked on through the European version of summer to represent you on the bylaws committee (Ilse Helleman) which has built the vast majority of our proposals into its submssion to Executive in Melbourne in October.
We have also been at Wonca Istanbul where our past Chair Cheryl Levitt gave an inspiring plenary about gender and family medicine, and where we ran a WWPWFM workshop on equity which was popular and well attended.
Amanda Howe as Chair is off to Wonca Asia Pacific where our reps there (Amanda Barnard and Dada Leopando) have put together a great programme. Dada will be a plenary speaker and we have a whole day preconference. So more pictures from there soon!
And don't forget to put the time aside for our 2009 meeting 28 June- 3 July in Norwich UK. Start lobbying to secure funding now! It will be about £500.00 + travel, and we shall try to share all costs.
