Drs. Cohen and Levitt Recognized
The work of two WWPWFM matriarchs was recognized at the November 2008 scientific meeting of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Dr. May Cohen received a special lifetime achievement award from the Section of Researchers for her research on gender and on women physicians, with Dr. Cheryl Levitt providing a warm and moving citation. In addition, Dr. Sandy Buchman commended Cheryl for her substantial contributions as a member of the executive of the Ontario College of Family Physicians, noting her special focus on gender equity and her success in getting the Board of the OCFP to endorse the HER statement.
